Beyonce Concert Review: Beyonce Shines Bright
Beyonce Concert Review: New Jersey Club teen experiences the star’s show at MetLife Stadium and has an amazing time
By Jahadah M., Teen Reporter, Boys & Girls Club of Hudson County
Recently, I had the most interesting experience ever! I went to a Beyonce and Jay Z concert at MetLife Stadium with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hudson County. Beyonce donated the tickets to the Boys & Girls Clubs in New Jersey.
When I found my seat in the top row of section 33, I could tell already that I was going to have a great time. Before the “Single Ladies” songwriter came out, her fans, known as the “BeyHive,” already had plenty of energy. The excitement of the thousands of people there was almost tangible.
About four hours of anxiousness later, Beyonce finally came out! The singer’s entry was simply amazing. There was fire shooting from the stage floor and from all over. At this point, I was stunned. I had never seen anything like that before. Not to mention, Beyonce looked absolutely beautiful. The fact that she came out dancing in 8-inch heels was the cherry on top of the cake. Seriously, who can do that?
Jay Z did great, too! He kept the people going. If I had to complain about anything, it would be about the display that was shown in the background. I found it a little disturbing.
My favorite part of the whole concert was when Beyonce sang “Pretty Hurts” with so much passion. During that song, she had an emotional connection with the crowd that showed me how much the multiple Grammy winner cares for her fan base.
Of course, Beyonce had to go big before the show was over. She and Jay Z ended with their hit song “On The Run.” This exciting and energizing song was the perfect way to end the New Jersey tour stop. Every time I hear that song (or any other Beyonce song, for that matter), I just have to sing along.
During the song, I looked out into the audience and it was beautiful. I saw nothing but little lights from all over from people’s phones, filling the stadium as Beyonce ended her show. It looked like the sky at night.
I am so grateful to be a part of the Boys & Girls Club because, otherwise, I would not have had such a memorable experience.
