You can do all kinds of cool things on your computer devices like play games, watch movies, take photos and listen to music. Right? These fun activities are technically referred to by adults as digital media, or media that can be created, viewed, distributed, modified and preserved on computers.
We thought you might like to make your own kinds of digital media, safely explore the Web and try out other computer applications you can use toward your future in school and in life! You can do all this -- and more -- on My.Future, which is being introduced this fall.
No worries. Even if you don’t know anything about computers, you can start My.Future with some fun and easy games that will get you up to speed. There are activities for members at all levels of technical savvy, and even a rad field trip to the woods you can take -- collecting objects, researching, cataloging and analyzing the data like scientists.
The best part is, you get your own online portfolio to store your digital media files, where you can always go back and continue working. You can also share your creations with family or across social media. Once you have developed a specific interest in one area of technology, you have options to pursue it in the Extensions section of My.Future, whether it’s coding, designing or your topic of the week.
As you explore and complete activities, you can accumulate enough credit to earn digital badges. These badges will be officially issued by your Club coach, and can be showcased online, shared with your friends or added to your resume as proof of your technical competency.
