What - Grammy Camp Weekend is an special extension of Grammy Camp. GRAMMY Camp is a live-in music industry camp where participants with varied interests learn how the music business works. They leave with a greater sense of how they can develop a strategy that will increase their chances at having a successful career in music. Tracks offered at FBR’s camp included: Vocal Performance, Electronic Music Production and Video Production.

Who - The 20 participants included high schoolers from FBRNation and our surrounding community partners (school and community). We even gained eight new members. The program is presented by The Grammy Foundation (grammyintheschools.com) as a national partner of Best Buy’s Community Relations team for the Best Buy Teen Tech Center sites. Facilitators were national faculty/industry professionals from Grammy Camp, traveling from Miami, Los Angeles and Nashville.

When - Saturday, August 29, 2015 from 9am-6pm (breakfast and lunch were provided)

Where - The FBRNation Best Buy Teen Tech Center

Why - to help teens find a sense of pride and discovery in the music business and to provide an opportunity for non-member teens to explore the possibilities of being a member of a Boys & Girls Club/Best Buy Teen Tech Center
